Season 4 Concert 8: "Four of a Kind"
One of the most unique ESCMF programs to date! This concert will feature a hand-clapping string quartet by Malian composer Hawa Diabaté, ESCMF original jazz duos for violin and cello, a piano quintet by American composer Xavier Foley and the dreamy String Quartet by Maurice Ravel.

For the fourth season of ESCMF, enjoy the timeless beauty of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons featuring four ESCMF violinists. Following Vivaldi, experience the last work of Max Bruch - his string octet composed for four violins, two violas, one cello and one double bass.
Season 4 Concert 7: “Four Seasons & Shostakovich”
For the fourth season of ESCMF, enjoy the timeless beauty of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons featuring four ESCMF violinists. Following Vivaldi, ESCMF Strings Week Chamber Music Workshop participants will perform in a special side-by-side feature. This concert will close with the awe-inspiring eighth string quartet from Dmitri Shostakovich performed in the less common string orchestra version.

Close out the second week of ESCMF with music by French composers Jean-Baptiste Barriere, Germaine Tailleferre, a work for piano and violin by Fairhope composer Michael Coleman, and the masterwork Piano Quintet by Dmitri Shostakovich.

This program features cello and piano duets by Jennifer Higdon and Leoš Janáček and three incredible, short British Viola Quintets by Arnold Bax, Benjamin Britten and Ralph Vaughn Williams.

This program features a striking flute, clarinet and cello trio by composer Paul Desenne, a piano trio from Spanish composer Joaquin Turina and the sixth string quartet from Beethoven’s iconic opus 18 set.
